“As I gazed over the mountain, all the primordial parts of my being quivered as if they had been witness to this fantastic sight before. The cooling apparatus on my suit beeped and shook as it pumped more icy fluid through the strategically placed artificial arteries. If there was a God or Zeus or Shiva or any of the like, they would have been laughing at me now. A tiny brain housed in a fragile body, barely aware of its own self trying to make sense of this. My optical nerves couldn’t even process all the colours, nor my ears the sounds. I tried in vain to squint, but I knew I was not seeing the landscape as it was meant to be appreciated.”
Though we may feel insignificant when reflecting on the sheer size of the known universe, we must not forget that each of our lives are an important thread in the tapestry of existence.
